  • townhouses
  • apartments
  • land subdivisions
  • mixed use (shop-top, resi-commercial)

We provide structuring advice such:

We can handle the development pipeline end-to-end from the initial acquisition of the land to subdivision, construction, titling and off-plan sales.

We can advise and negotiate building contracts.

Property development is a team effort and we can introduce you to mortgage brokers, accountants, surveyors and project managers experienced in property development.

What development documents can you prepare?

We can prepare option deeds, joint venture agreements, development agreements, construction contracts, management statements, strata development contracts, easements, restrictions, covenants and by-laws.

How do you charge?

We offer fixed fees for your development. Talk with us about your development and we will prepare a scope of works and a fixed fee for works falling within that scope. We appreciate that often it isn’t possible to know what is involved too far in advance so we can scope each stage as it arrives and offer a fixed fee for that stage.

Alternatively, you may be interested in a monthly retainer where you pay a fixed monthly fee for all our work done for you in that month.  The retainer fee is reviewed regularly to keep it fairly priced for the amount of work done.

Commercial property investors

Investors looking to invest in commercial property (office, industrial and retail) benefit from Andrew’s practical understanding of commercial property and commercial leasing gained from a previous role in managing a $100M + commercial property portfolio.  Andrew prides himself on identifying potential costs and risks for clients buying commercial property. Once a property is purchased, Andrew can help in the ongoing management and leasing of the property.

Homeowners and residential investors

Andrew is as happy looking after a residential conveyance as he is a commercial matter. With Sydney house and unit prices so high, a residential conveyance is a high value transaction that deserves the close attention of an experienced property lawyer. Andrew isn’t someone who just pushes the paper. He can analyse the property title, negotiate a contract quickly and effectively, provide expert legal advice and help his clients reach settlement.

SMSFs and trusts

Andrew has acted on many purchases and property transfers for SMSFs and trusts and knows how to structure a purchase with the correct purchasing entity to avoid stamp duty problems. Whether it is a commercial or residential property investment or a transfer and lease-back of your business property, whether it is a limited recourse arrangement or fully funded, Andrew has the expertise to help you with your investment.

Developers

For a number of years, Andrew acted almost solely for property developers, acting and advising on the development of apartments, townhouses, duplexes, mixed-use developments, business parks, industrial estates, shops, offices and hospitals. He also has substantial experience in building and construction, which comes in very handy when dealing with the builders.

And more…

We are very experienced in preparing a wide range of property agreements and instruments such as options, caveats, easements, covenants and all manner of applications to the land titles registry.

We could write pages and pages about property law but no-one goes to the doctor to read the medical manual so why not give us a call.
